Skywatcher Go-To Dob question

Not about accuracy, curiously enough, but how good/bad a job does the go-to mechanism do on holding the OTA in one spot?
My previous experience with a 12" GSO was les-than fulfilling as, despite having great views, it refused to stay still in either Alt or Az, regardless of how much tesion I applied.

Hi Peter,

I have had no issues with mine so far. There are no tension controls on the base on my Skywatcher. It is a very well built and balanced telescope and base, and holds its positioning well. Even with tracking an object once it has been located is generally very good, you may need to slightly adjust with the hand controller every so often, but no real issues at all.

All in all, it does what is advertised - tracks objects and holds them in the field of view very well.

Hope that helps.

Ditto for me, no major problems. Does what it's meant to do quite well.
