Hi all, just thought that some of you would appreciate this guys shots.

I think that his shots show real promise .

Seriously, his work is very good, if you look around his site you will find links to other great astrophotographers. This is my personal goal to get this good at taking shots.

yeh I've seen his work before, absolutely awesome stuff.

I mean he's got many many thousand dollars worth of equipment there.. goes to show that good equipment is essential for good astrophotography.. but i'm sure that's only 1/4 of the effort.. most of the work would be in the technique of capture and the post-processing of the images afterwards..

While i'd love to be able to capture images like that, there's a couple of things holding me back
1. equipment
2. money, to buy #1
3. time - to do those sort of images requires hours and hours of exposures over many nights.. i just can't afford that time at this stage of my life with 3 young kids and commuting for work.

Maybe one day

Still, very nice to look at and it definitely gives you something to strive for.
