Hi all,
I saved this Leitz camera from the rubbish bin at work. My boss said it was used to take photos of microscope slides. You can see in the second photo, that there is no view finder per se, rather youd look through the right angle protruding from the lens. Its quite nifty i think; a quick look on the interwebs suggests that the camera is from 1952!
Was wondering if anyone knows more about them...and possible value...
Hellava find, don't give this one away.
I will be able to tell you more once I dig out my Leica book and find the serial number section.
Value is what someone will pay for it, and it can still be used as a "normal" camera, you just need a lens, and a finder, the finder slips into one of the shoes on top.
Gorgeous gear, I have an original Model 1, dating about 1927 or so.
