Useless, I will relieve you from your pain..

Seriously though do you have a reflector?

If so do you have the optical corrector (ova) in place , it acts like a Barlow by increasing magnification.

Some newts don't even focus with this, there are 2 options;
Buy longer bolts & move the primary mirror up the tube by he required amount ( which requires an ext tube for mono viewing) OR
Buy an optical corrector specifically for newts from someone like siebertoptics.com

Otherwise buy a sct/mak to use them with

They will work with both but need an OCS (optical correction system). What brand did you buy? Some already come with an OCS.

With your scope you may need to slightly reduce the height of you truss poles (not fully extend them).

Hey Michael,

For my Meade 12" dob I bought a Stellarvue binoviewer from Pete at SDM.

They came with two little extra items. looking like a pair of small barlows, which together made up the optical correction system that has been mentioned. I was warned I may need to use either, or both, and in fact I have to use both to get focus.

So don't despair, these items will get you going. And I'm confident you'll agree it's worth it once you get sorted out. They bino views are spectacular
