M42

Hy!
it is my second image on this forum. Just a little bit famous M42...taken trought an rc 8 inch in a few minuts...(around 1 hour), while I was calibrating my new off axis guide that I should use with my newton 10 inch. I know M42 is a very photographated subject so there are so many amazing pictures about it. I was not sure to put my picture on line....anyway I did!.

An excellent image, very nicely presented on your website. The tendrils of wispy nebulosity in the hi res image are nice and you’ve done a great job in preventing the core from burning out.

Cheers

Very nice shot this. Good processing and great FOV. Detail good considerng the exposure time! Did you use a mask for the core?

Thank you!
Yes I used a mask for the core. For this reason I did very fast shoot.
Cheers!
