Good Show Ed Did you shoot saturn in greyscale or is your saturation way down?

No it wasn't in grayscale I suppose with more experience and time the shots will get better. Tracking was the biggest problem for me. I still would prefer a web cam for planets though.

A little bit sharper

There's certainly nothing wrong with that shot for a first on Saturn with the DSI. Out of curiosity did you use anysort of focal reducer/barlow with the saturn shot?

Nice shots Ed, And with the DSI, much more impressive than my first tries with it. Nice central peak visible in Tycho, but a little out of focus, but well worth keeping the images. See if you can get a montage of the moon during this phase, I would be most interested to see it.

I like your Saturn also, much more impressive than my first and still better than the best I have imaged so far.

Keep the images coming, look forward to your next post.

Hi Ving,
Those moon pics are cool. I really like the ragged edges! Gives it a real 3D appearance. I guess they were taken very close to full moon, when it's hardest to get detail.
Well done. Keep it up.

It might have been the focus but what I didn't realize when I took those shots was that both mirrors were really fogged up.
I had to use the hairdryer twice on them that night.
Everything that was out in the open was absolutely soaked.
