28/8/2010 - Only AR11101 in action.

A few observe elements today under 3/5 seeing from greece......
1) strong sunspot 11101 with cycle umbra and penubra.
2) a beautifull group of detached and "rain" prominences.
3) a great propeller schema by the arch transition filaments of the sunspot.

Hi Theo

I do like the CaK and the prom image - the inverted images bring out so much more depth - the surface looks like shag pile carpet from the 70's.
