G'day all,
I've been working on my lunar eclipse shots as I get time. This is the first one I've got to a point where I think it's ready for public viewing. Still not sure it's finished.
I spent quite a lot of time preparing for the eclipse, taking test photo's at various locations etc. I think it payed off in the end, and I think I chose the right location for this eclipse.
I was quite keen to get a wide field sequence of the eclipse having previously done narrow field shots of eclipses but not wide field.
It's surprising how small the moon is in the FOV when you're at 17mm focal length

Detracts a little from the impressiveness I think, but other than fudging the image to make the moon bigger I haven't worked out how I would solve that. It's surprising how much sky the eclipse covers! and so how wide a field of view is needed.

Now just to get to the other images I have of the eclipse...
Roger.
