worm gears set

Hi guys, does anyone know where I can get a Plastic worm and worm gear set with at least 40 teeth. **** smith doesn't stock them anymore nor do some of the other suppliers. rsaustralia has them but they cost about $60. They are for an EQ platform.

Regards Cristian

Cristian, why do you want a Plastic worm drive? Not very long lasting. You would be better hunting down a brass gear and a steel worm. Some old machinery may have some inside it.

60:1 gearboxes

see my earlier post for similar problems ( back in early Dec)
I ended up buying an italian box for $150.. great robust solution.
Thinking about it..... if anyone has a spare DS motor set up, they have 60:1 gears maybe something on astromart/ telescope/ebay.
