Spotlight adhesive backed felt?

I went to Spotlight today to look for the adhesive backed black felt some of the fellas use for flocking. The staff didn't know what I was talking about.
Can someone shed some light (LOL) on this produce?

I bought some material recently that could be used for flocking but I stuck it on myself with a spray contact glue.

Funny. I did both. Went to spotlight and they didn't have a clue. Got some dark stuff with the spray-on glue. It's still in my drawer too I ended up getting some proper flocking from protostar. Never looked back. Get a roll.

I went to Spolight and check the regular material section and found out they had another materials sections (for heavier materials). Did you go to the right one.

The stuff I got was in the craft section. It comes in A4 sheets with a peel off back that exposes the self adhesive.

Yes - someone pointed me to those but they had run out. I heard they do the job nicely though.

If you need a bigger quantity (I bought mine to flock my 16" LB) try this:

Mine wasn't the craft section but a seperate sectio for curtain materials which is heavier gauge and really black. Interesting about the craft section though will look next time.

Thanks Sheeny, for the tip about craft4less, have previously used black felt from Spotless stuck on with contact cement which has been quite adequate for lining refractor dewshields but the stuff you mention sounds like less fuss for my next project.

I think the only difference with your run of the mill felt from craft shops and the stuff marc has is the IR reflectivity of it. the Protostar also stops IR reflecting and when your into photography, thats the main thing that you need to sort out! other wise if its for visual, happy days!
