What is on your Christmas list?

Although only Santa knows for sure if you have been naughty or nice and deserve a present for Christmas (not meaning to be exclusionary I'll also gladly include all other Holidays where something is exchanged even "Festivess" from Seinfield as there is nothing at all wrong with alternative celebrations in the Yule Season but I digress)

This thread is meant to allow you to voice your wishes...in case you are too busy to tell him yourself

As I have in the past acted as an assistant to the jolly fellow from the north pole (many of you know I possess the "mature body type" to "fill" this role) and as a past sworn deputy to St. Nick, I will do my best to convey your wish lists to him...again, I will let him decide on the naughty or nice stuff...so don't blame me if you get a lump of coal in your stocking instead for that T6 Nagler you had asked for...

I'll start...

Dear Santa,

I have been a good boy in spite of what others might say about me...they are simply: jealous, wrong or unintelligent (one or more may apply).

I would like to request a visual paracor for my telescope...and a hippopotamus...

Sincerely,

Scott

PS Happy Holidays!!!

Dear Santa,
I have been an exceptionally good boy all this year. I have only on rare occasions been chastised for dropping my clothes on the floor, leaving the toilet seat up and not driving in a manner that HRH Liz considers acceptable whilst in traffic. I have also copped an occasional dressing down for incorrectly setting the VCR recording schedule. I therefore wish to respectfully request a WO ZenithStar Fluorite Doublet, in Red introductory colour with 2 inch dielectric diagonal and may I suggest you buy an additional OTA for yourself, to mount on your sleigh, as the colour would tie in nicely and the scope would allow you closer inspection of delivery sites before landing. There will of course be, for your pleasure, on landing, a slab of Boags Premium beer, and an entire Lions club christmas cake. Should you feel tired after consuming the Beer and cake you are most welcome to stay the night, as long as you don't drop your clothes on the floor or leave the toilet seat up. HRH Liz may write to you indicating that, as I already have one Telescope, I don't need another one. Please ignore her comments as she is of advancing years and is unable to appreciate fully a mans needs.

Yours Sincerely

Philip

Premium planetary eyepieces.. either a 5 & 7mm UO HD Orthos, or a 7mm Pentax XW or 7mm Nagler T6.

Oh and a 2x orion shorty plus barlow, or a 2.5x powermate.

Oh and steady seeing.

Oh and clear skies.

That's all.

Dear Santa,

I have been a really really good boy, honest! I would like not much only a few items. I would like a canon 20Da with a full complement of professional lenses, a Paramount ME mount, a Sirus Observatory, a 16" truss dob, and argo narvis and dob driver kit, a 31mm nagler, a 22mm nagler, an 2" O111 filter and a 2" Hydrogen beta filter, a Cak PST and another PST to replace the one I had to hock for the EQ6 setup, a dual mount for the EQ6. Please Santa also provide some clear skies and no moon for a few months and no atmospheric turbulace.

In hope,

David Hough

the girls both "helped" mum put up the xmas tree this year. My wife used to do it to perfection almost to obsession!

but I am so proud of her now that she has let her two little helpers "help". the tree is not so perfect, but gee it makes my heart warm up listening to them giggle and decorate the tree!!

kids and xmas, can't beat it!

Dear Santa I have been a rat bag this year, but despite this I know that you will grant me one wish. Remember that time back in 68, remember that photographic evidence. Well all I want is clear weather. Do this and your off the hook. If you can't do this, well then the wish holds for yet another year.

Blackmail Santa. Priceless.

Dear Santa,

I know I have been busy and have not really spent the time with the wife and kids that I should be, but could you find it in your heart to put under the tree, a CPC 9.25 with XLT on a G11 or Paramount ME mount, a 16" truss dobsonian, full range of radian and nagler eyepieces, a new car (a Nissan Navara ST-r 3.3ltr Dual cab) with lifetime mechanical service and repairs for anywhere in Australia. To add to the car, a mobile doppler radar for chasing thunderstorms with a full kit of professional video recording equipment with satellite relay. I would also like either a WM-918 or WM-928 weather station for my home so I can keep an eye on the up coming weather before you land so you get the softest possible flight possible. Oh if not too impossible atleast three supercells a year, 50% of days filled with eyepopping CG's, 50% of the nights clear for observing.

thats all for now, if I think of anything else I will let you know.

Merry X-mas to one and all.
