Arkaroola 2010

i know i am jumping the gun a bit but does does anybody know if the:
Arkaroola (SA) Starparty is being planned for early next year?? With some

pre-planning will try and plan some time off and raise some interest in getting a convoy from the east coast across to there.

Arthur, although I am in SE Qld, I would be happy to tag onto a convoy to Arkaroola if one gets going.

Hey guys,
just had a look at the Arkaroola website - the 2010 Star Party has been cancelled for maintenance. Resuming in 2011.

This may be the great On-Again--Off-Again story but I see in the latest edition of Australian S&T a 1/4 page advert at Page 71 for the Arkaroola Star Party DownUnder 2010 between 14th and 18th January, 2010.
I'm just about to head to their web site to confirm. But it would certainly seem that the event is ON.

Post-Script:
I just had a look at their Web Site and the latest shown there (from September 2009) is that the 2010 event is cancelled due to maintenance? So the answer is the left hand and the right hand are not talking. Confusion reigns.

Seems like alot of time/fuel would be spent for uncertanty.

Must be no representative for the event here on IIS.

Well, I can now give it to you "from the horse's mouth". Here is the text of the reply I received this morning:
"
Yes, it is cancelled for 2010 for reasons stated on our Internet site (http://www.arkaroola.com.au/starparty.php) - i.e. maintenance required at Arkaroola Village.

I did advise the editor of the Aust. S&T magazine, but it would appear that notification was not in time for the latest edition - thank you for bringing that to my attention - I'll certainly chase that up first thing in the morning (Monday 9 November).

Again, I do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused."

So that, as they say, is that.
