Really pushing data....

I revisited some data from 2007 taken of the vdB152 region in Cepheus (the weather has killed my AU imaging for a while). I thought I'd try to see if I could get more dust out of the background with some newer techniques. Here is what I came up with:

http://www.tvdavisastropics.com/astr...s-1_00001b.htm

This data is really stretched, but that is what I was shooting for.

Thats a stunner Tom...

I was looking at another image of this region just yesterday, the image I was looking at was rather impressive also, and I thought to myself, I wonder what Tom, aka - The dust buster! could work out of this region...

Well my question has been answered - Pure Magic!

giving the hubble some competition I see. Fantastic detail from that, looks a little like CG4, but that buble detail is amazing!!

That's a stunner Tom and the best version around.

Your images are a good example of picking up the really faint stuff
using a fast scope with large aperture that even large aperture scopes that are slower would struggle to show.

Weather should be good for a the weekend, the continent seems pretty clear of cloud.

Greg.

Very 3 dimensional.
Feels like if you blew gently on the monitor it would start to swirl.
Stunning.

Fantastic work. Still so smooth too despite the pushing. Thats an unusual little blue and red nebula up top too.

Is there an online Vandenberg Catalog with all the objects locations?

Super shot Tom - tonnes of detail there. Would you mind sharing your processing techniques?
