Another M20 - this time with a DSLR

My last post of M20 was with a DSI III. I decided to image the same target using my unmoddified Canon 350D. Total of 4 x 8min ISO 800, no flats , ICNR on. PS curves, levels. ED80 guided with LX200 DSI-C

Nice colours Dr Paul and nicely framed.
Bit of a halo around the brighter stars? Any ideas?
Still, another nice shot for a DSLR.

Thanks Paul. yes, I had some bad vignetting from using a meade f6.3 focal reducer - maybe that contributed.

Thats a good image, although the spectrum is shifted over into the blue, but then again, i had the same issues with trying to get the fainter blue reflection nebula to stand out, as well as the "Triffid" but still, like i said, its a very nice shot, although maybe you suffered from some dew?

could explain the soggy lookin' stars

great image though, shows loads of promise

Nice Dr Paul, I like the colour balance but the background is cliped and the guiding went just a bit wonky

Fred, yes, should of reduced the expoure down to 4 min subs. It was a tad windy and 8 min was too much. I am just getting used to the expoure times so. as yo usay the colour is fine, but the stars did suffer. I clipped the background when I tried t oget rid of the awful light pollution.
Not sure there was dew, but definately not as sharp as I would have liked. Possibly needed more expoure time (more 4 min subs perhaps)

Good data in there Paul. Like to see you redo it with with the background less clipped then you would see more outer nebulosity.
