Signed. Those *******s deserve to rot in hell - they have no respect for life. The more I see in life, the less respect I have for the human species.

Dave

edit: In hindsight, I'm appalled that 50 people have looked at this thread, but not even had the courage to make a comment about this horrid practice. Is life that cheap?

Sickening. About as sick as slaughtering whales under the deceitful excuse of scientific research, etc.

It amazes me sometimes that we can be so wound up about climate change and self preservation , and have no remorse or pity on the care and preservation of the animal kingdom.

What a strange and destructive species we are.

It is a disgusting way to treat another living creature. But, sorry did'nt sign the petition, a waste of time IMHO. Most of Egypt are followers of Islam, the pig is unclean, therefore of no consequence and any excuse to remove them will be used. Will fall on deaf ears I'm afraid.

You are probably correct, I wonder what would happen if people started protesting the Egyptian embassy. If the Australian government had any backbone, it'd expell ALL Egyptian diplomats. Of course, money is more important than doing the morally right thing these days.

Just remember what goes around, comes around. It's only a matter of time before nature says FU to mankind and gives us a good kick up the you know what.

I looked at it signed the partition and then wondered why waste perfectly good meat once well cooked dried and salted it could feed a lot of starving people in Africa.

I more appalled at the waste let alone the cruelty.

Egypt is a Quasi democracy that has very little value of human rights never mind animal rights, so I don't think sending a petition to their government will make one iota of a difference
I abhor animal cruelty but I think the petition is a waste of time

Ron - it is better to speak your mind out against this sort of cruelty, even if nothing is done. For far too long, people have kept silent on critical matters. I'll leave you with a very famous quote, from a very humble and great man:

Quote:
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. --Martin Luther King Jr.

Egypt is the place where George W Bush and his gang in the CIA sent people to be tortured so as they could not be prosecuted on US soil, so worrying about pigs will not be on their Radar
By the way I did fill in the petition

Done, I detest all forms of animal cruelty.

There was a report last night on the news where some idiots had stabbed and killed two sheep at a Canberra High school.

It worries me as to where the world is heading.

Egypt was only one of the secret places that Bush Jr and his gestapo torturers went to. You are probably right, the Egyptian government doesn't really care.

G'Day,
I disagree, Egypt depends on tourist a lot and they wont want to take the chance of losing income from them.Every vote counts.

Cheers
Arthur
