How do you say Bono?
Can all you fellow nerdy astronomers help me settle an argument please?
The lead singer of U2 is Bono but what is the correct way of saying his name?
is it:
a) Bone-o as in dogs bone plus an "O"
or
b) Bon-o as in a Christmas bon bon plus an "O"
or
c) some other way
Cheers
Mike

I've seen both ways being used....although I think #2 is the preferred way of saying it.

Yep...I too have heard both but believe the second to be correct, and I believe the pronunciation he himself uses...which is the best guide, although it's hard to tell with that fabulous accent

I reckon B is correct as opposed to Sonny & Cher Bono which is/was A.
