Ive upgraded to each time there's been a new version with no problems.

I even just tried 1.5RC3 (saved bookmarks first just in case) - no problem.

Are you using your normal windows login, bookmarks are by user.

Otherwise no suggestions.

Download the extension..Bookmark backup...it saves your bookmarks in another folder each time you close F/fox. Sorry it wont fix your current problem but it'll save the headache in the future.

ving, go to mozilla forum & look in the sticky. Your bookmarks are not lost. They can be retrieved from your 'profiles' folder.
Use task manager & make sure that all Firefox entries are not running.
Goto start> run>& type in > firefox.exe -profile manager (notice space after exe & if '-profilemanager' doesn't work use '-p' only. This opens your profile folder. Select your original default profile from there. RESTART Firefox.Should be O.K. (please see attached).

ps. Goto > www.pikey.me.uk/mozilla
for Bookmark Backup 0.3.3 This backs up your daily bookmarks everytime you close Firefox. The ext room also has it back on site.
Another prog you can use is 'mozbackup'. This is v1.4.2 & will do Firefox & Thunderbird etc.

pps. See attached for important info.

ving, Chris's link had similar/same solution. I got this one from the Mozilla forums. Remember when I deleted a profile & it took everything out of 'My Documents' folder as well.. (photos, emails, the lot)! Lucky I had back up cd's...
See attached as to where to store your 'precious'......
Slick, do you have 'Keep Cookies' > 'until I close Firefox' in 'Privacy' section? Try 'view cookies' & see what's going on re; time limits etc.
I hope I'm on the right track! L.
ps. Also, tick check box > allow sites to set cookies, but uncheck > from originating web site only. See if that works. I have it set like that. np. HTH.!!!!!
pps. If that doesn't work, then it's off to Mozilla.org for you.
