Still feeling crook

It has been over a week since the hernia operation and geez I dont feel very flash...
It was so clear the night after and the night after that and as I get closer to a recovery and some viewing maybe the clouds just keep building ...
AND I have fallen out with everyone in my real world (family) and am truly alone..
So thats why I ramble.. physical pain and mental pain beyond what I can take...and still one must.

So this is my way of saying sorry to those folk I upset here..
I know what I must come over like and simply hope my misery is not taken personally by anyone.

Hope everything improves for you soon, Alex.

And I'm a firm believer that a little forgiveness goes a long way.

You strike me as a fairly forgiving sort of fella...so I don't think it's unreasonable to get a little in return.

Chin up...and clear skies to you, mate

Hey Alex

So sorry to hear of your struggles at the moment, but hang in there mate; mostly these travails will pass, leaving you free and unburdened before you know it. On-going pain is a horrid thing – it robs you of energy, saps your vitality and dampens your spirits.

I guess all I can offer is my sympathies and hopes that soon you will mend and be able to see the world more clearly, like the sprightly Alex of old - not through a cloud of pain and discomfort.

I reckon you can afford the luxury of some precious time to focus on healing yourself first and maybe put on hold those late nights outside in the cold, until you are fully recovered.

Take care mate, and call in whenever you have the time – it’s always good to hear from you.

Dennis

Sorry to hear about your troubles Alex.
Hang in there and try to rest and recover. I am sure no one is offended by your demeanor, well at least not me.

Life is too short to hold a grudge and doing so only weighs down upon your heart and soul. Try to reconcile with your loved ones even it it means you have to swallow some pride.

All the best and I hope things start looking up soon.

Sorry to hear that you're doing it tough at the moment, Alex. Life does these things to us from time to time. I am in the process of slowly recovering from hurting my back while moving, so I am reasonably in touch with the notion that pain adversely affects your sense of humour, and can shorten the fuse...

Hang in there mate, hope you're over it soon. Remember here is nourishment in the ashes!

Al.

Sorry to hear of your trouble Alex.

Your input here is much appreciated, I particulary carefully read all your Physics posts, very interesting, and your efforts amongst your friends here to distract you from your pain are a worthy pursuit, you are not alone.

Hi Alex, hope you come good soon mate. things like this can always be tough to get through but the light is always at the end of the tunnel.

As my tattoist always says, pain is temporary and the beauty is that the human mind can't remember pain.

Cheers

Thank you my friends. I am sorry that I broke down... I try so hard.. I have swallowed all my pride and plead guilty to crimes I would never consider... and yet I can not get the least bit of recognition or appreciation... and it hurts ... I should not have said anything but now I have I guess I have no regret because I found the fact that someone even cared enough to pull me up....

on the positive I am moving on... already the ladies are lining up (he wishes).
Tomorrow my mate whose house I am looking after should return ..maybe with a mission to sail a boat from the South... and you can bet I am going to bring it back to Byron or Balina...

I went to the pub tonight and it was neat.. I used to hate folk cornering me for advice but tonight I was happy to give it freely... nice to have some recognition and appreciation ...

Thank you everyone I really sincerly appreciate each of you taking the time to sooth another human..you are all very decent people. Thank you.

er to make things clear....all my hurt has nothing to do with anyone here by the way..it is the mother of my daughter that causes me grief or rather I cause me grief because I cant stop thinking about the difficulties she presents me.....IceinSpace and Shawn's place (Ravenshoe) is home to me and there is no one here or there I dont like and admire.

Hey Alex

When the burden becomes too great for one person to carry, it is only human (and smart!) to recognize it, so no apologies needed. It takes strength to acknowledge when the weight becomes too much to carry, rather than imprudently struggling on.

It sounds like you had a more relaxing and pleasant time at the pub tonight – that is welcome news, for both you and your friends here on Ice In Space. You write as someone who has been through a lot, seen a lot and also learned a lot. This appears to have furnished you with a gift for helping others, which when you are well, can be quite enjoyable, reminding you of how far you have already travelled when assisting others along the same journey.

Keep well.

Dennis

There is really nothing quite like an afternoon at the pub, a few cleansing ales to stimulate the mind and some good conversation and a few laughs.

I can think of nothing better to get you back to full health.

Cheers

Hey Alex - is your place in between Ballina and Walgett? We're on our way through in July and thought it'd be great to bump into you for a yarn.

Yes Chris it is but you could say it is also between Saturn and Jupiter depending on how you plan the trip..

West of Ballina you have the city (town really) Lismore...West of that we have the town of Casino (where Glen lives) and West of Casino we have the little town of Tabulam... where I is... and West of Tabulam (after Drake) we have Tenterfield.. from Tenterfield you could get to Walgett somehow but I have no idea.

I would be delighted to meet up... I have only met three other folk into astronomy... Glen, Rob and Ron.

Thank you all again..

Somehow I have won... the mental pain has given way to indifference which is good as indifference requires no mental process..it is a useful human emotion that is not there only when it is...

...hey I worked in the divorce courts..thats where I met her in the first place... I know how it can go...anyways I am getting off lightly and I wont have Paul's problems..in fact money wise I am so far ahead it hurts......some poor devils however, man how do they get thru it.... and I am thru it...
I am on the other side.

I think constant niggling pain has more chance of bringing you down than the teeth grinding stuff ..really heavy pain I think one manages easier because you concentrate on a strategy.. niggling is sortta too little to worry about but the annoyance gets to you..
whatever...I feel great now actually... I think I will start a new thread on gravity I feel so good.
Thanks again you wonderful people.

Actually Alex - you're smack-bang on he way...

We'll be coming down from Brissie to Beaudesert and then Woodenbong. You're a short hook to the right from there through Sandilands. We continue down from you through Tenterfield, Glenn Innes and Moree on to Lightning Ridge where the folks are!

We're heading through at the tail end of July if you're about.
