The promo's for it look quite interesting, I just hope it's not over dramatised and hyped up as sometimes happens with these shows.

Cheers

Looks interesting as I've just watched In The Shadow Of The Moon. Might have to take the remote off young Jacqui for a while and actually watch TV for the first time in many months. The Collectors before it looks interesting too.

I thought it was a fantastic show and well worth a look. My movie trivia wife also enjoyed telling me who played who in the movie as well so I think she enjoyed it also.

Thanks to all for posting about this as there would have been a fare chance I would have missed it otherwise.

Regards

I quite enjoyed it. A lot of it was in the movie, but it is always nice to hear it in their own words, and to pick up the little differences - just to sift the dramatisation from the fact if nothing else.

Well worthwhile watching.

I watched it , and thought it was done in a pretty factual sort of way.

Hi Ron, I was very impressed with it. It was very well done and I enjoyed the interviews with the people who were there.

A top show

Thanks Mike !

It was a pretty good doco with inside footage of Apollo 13 not seen (by me anyway) before. Certainly worth watching...I should have taped it to watch again!

I thouht it rather spooky that it took off at 1:13 (13:13) and the tank exploded on the 13th....touch wood I am not superstitious!

I wonder if anyone has tried with todays technology to perform the same calculations to see how long they would take to perform and if they would be able to do the same sorts of things at such short notice? It wouldn't surprise me if every shuttle mission had to carry a roll of duct tape! I for one would be carrying a Swiss army pocketknife.

I think it was pretty dumb to have the two different types of carbon dioxide scrubbers....mind you, they STILL have problems where one half is talking metric and the other half is talking imperial....will they ever learn that one? Let's hope the current Mars mission is either metric or imperial all the way through.

I enjoyed it but I was somehow underwhelmed.. it didn't really captivate me. I thought the Apollo 11 doco some weeks back was more interesting. And as usual, I'm amazed how sound can travel in a near vacuum, even in a documentary! Clarke and Kubrik were able to get it right all those decades ago with 2001...
