The jump starter bat for my scope turned out to be pretty handy this morning.

My alternator gave up and the battery wasn't charging. Jump started the car using my bat pack for the scope. The charge got half way to work this morning and there must not have been enough charge to light spark plugs because the car died.
luckily enough I was able to turn off Parammatta Rd and didnt cause any mayhem.
I had to strap the jump starter in the hood and ocky strap the hood down as well but didn't do a good job of that and couldn't go above 60 on the M4 because the hood kept popping up due to the wind underneath it.

Still made it work in time though.

Who said amature astronomy doesnt pay .

Our car battery went flat last week, and my wife used the purple jump starter battery to start the car and drive to the nearest battery shop

It definitely helps!
