WITHDRAWN FOR SALE - 8" Meade LX90GPS + accessories

I have for sale an 8" Meade LX90GPS with UHTC with heaps of accessories $2400 the lot (approx $4500 new).

8" LX90GPS UHTC SCT F10
Meade field tripod
8x50 finder scope and red dot finder
1.25" 6.4, 26 and 40mm 2" 50mm Plossl eyepieces
Meade 1209 electric zero image shift foucuser
Meade F6.3 focal reducer
Padded soft sided carry bag for OTA
JMB Type A solar filter
Counterweight system
Guide scope rings (suit ED80 - ED80 not included)
Piggy back mount system
Piggy back bracket
5m 12 volt power lead
12 volt jump starter pack (17 amp hour) will run the scope all night.
Flexi dew shield
12 volt dew zapper

The telescope and all the bits and pieces are one owner and are 6 months old and in excellent condition. When not in use the scope is stored in it's original packaging, all eyepieces and accessories are stored in an accessory case (not included).

This is a very easy to use telescope, put the tripod down level it off with a spirit level. Fasten the OTA to the tripod, power up the scope hit zero on the key pad and let the GPS and GoTo do it's thing and follow the prompts after the hand piece beeps.

My reason for sale is that I am in the process of buying a new imaging scope and as this one isn't used too much now I thought it a good time to pass it over to someone who can make better use of it.

Pick up from Miranda (Sydney South) after hours or Mascot (just up from the Airport) during business hours (7am to 5pm). Sorry no post or courier as I just don't trust this method. Another alternative would be a pick up at SPSP first weekend in April if that suits.

Payment by direct debit or COD - definitely no Pay Pal.

Thank you for looking and if you have any questions or would like some photos please PM me and I will arrange for them. Also I will post some photos as soon as I can.

Photos now attached

Also I left out a couple of extras in my initial ad. Also included are a 2" diagonal with a 2" to 1.25" adaptor, a 2x shorty barlow lens and a Hartman Mask to assist with focussing for photography.

The photos in order are;
1. Telescope on adjustable height tripod with battery pack (red led in the battery pack)
2. Rear of scope with electric focuser and 2" diagonal attached
3. Soft sided padded carry bag, fits scope with focuser attached comfortably and with a side pocket for accessories
4. Looking in the front of the scope
5. Accessories included in the sale, Solar filter, ED80 piggy back rail and rings, counterweight, Hartman Mask, eyepieces/barlow, F6.3 focal reducer and the handset to control the scope which I left off the scope in the other pictures.

If you would like any other photos please drop me a line and I will do what I can to assist.

Regards
Wayne

Warranty Question

I have just had a chat to Bintel, where the scope was purchased, and they will warranty the scope to September 2008. Pick up and delivery to Bintel at Glebe is at the new owner's expense and if the warranty claim is due to owner's neglect or damage they will be charged for it.

Please note that I am also willing to have the scope serviced by Bintel prior to sale to give the new owner piece of mind that they are getting a fine instrument for their money.

Regards
Wayne

Splitting up Package

Ok so no one wants this as a complete package. I am prepared to offer the telescope, tripod, battery pack, carry bag and 12 volt power cable at $1985, that is $1,000 off Bintel's new price for the same scope, and you are getting the bag, power pack and power lead on top of the $1,000 saving on the new price. The warranty that Bintel have offered and the service of the scope, goes without saying (but I will say it anyway), will still be honoured and if there is anything in the accessories that you may wish to purchase I will negotiate a very reasonable price with you and give you first opportunity to purchase whatever out of my accessories you require.

Offer

I am interested in the complete package that you originally listed (scope and all accessories) as I am looking to upgrade. I cannot justify spending more than $2000.Jen

No problem on the withdrawl of the offer Jen, to be perfectly honest you were about $400 short of where you needed to be . I saw your post earlier but have been outside getting in a bit of testing for SPSP this weekend and was going to reply when I got in, like now.

If things change and the ad is still around please feel free to send me a pm and we can discuss.
