Farmer finds space junk

This was on the 6pm news tonight. Would make an intresting centre piece next to the old BBQ out the back. Wonder what it would sell for on e-bay?

An interesting story, but TERRIBLE journalism !

Maybe I am just to critical, but it is not a terribly well written story !

Interesting!

In his place I would be searching around the site for an impact crater which surely a metallic lump of such size would have made on hitting the ground. Another thing I would turn it over to check for scorch marks on the ground underneath.

Reading the Saturday paper today, they claim that it first must of hit the top of an old tree stump which pushed it into the ground a further 5cm, it then rolled another 5 or so meters then came to its current resting spot. Saturday courier mail ,Brisbane. Must be a one in a few million chance of hitting top of old tree stump

From the look of it I'd guess a Wookie football.

Strange being hollow that it didn't bust into a million pieces when it hit the tree stump ...Did it have a Parachute attached ??.. more pictures of the surounding area would be good .
