Just was wondering if i can buy a motor drive for my 114mmx500.
Originally i was going to buy a 130 nexstar from aust geo for $1150 with full computerised goto mount and all the accesories including photo hardware but my wife thought that since i am only new to the hobbie (but have always been interested.) to buy a cheap version. Plus lack of funds doesn't help lol.
I ended up with an ebay version and it is cool. It has remarkably good optics...well i think it does. I even took a pic with my digi cam of venus..

Yeh it is rough and out of focus but i am proud to say i have seen a planet!!!
What i want to know is what kind of computer controlled device would be suitable. or is it better to buy a whole new outfit???
It is mounted on an eq 3 mount.
Sorry about my lack of know how but i am trying and i have seen some wonderful things already but it would be good to just lock it in and let it do the work to find things.
