NGC1935 in NB

Hi Guys

NGC1935 Nebulae in Colour Mapped Narrowband
Ha:SII:Ha:OIII 60:40:60:40min (10min subs)Ha bin 1. SII and OIII bin2

Taken on GRAS G15, PME, RCOS 10" OTA, ST8XME. AP0.67 FR

http://fredsastro.googlepages.com/home

A bit noisy, but hey, not a lot of exposure time considering.

I tell you what, its so sweet, looking at dismal sydney skies, firing up the PC, a bit of mousing and Photoshoping, and presto, a narly pic .

Yeah, yeah, its cheating, whatever, fun never the less

What a cool image Fred.

You have handled the processing quite well for such short exposures through narrowband filters at a relatively slow FR.

Looks like one of those deep sea fish with the big mouth and a bright light hanging from a stalk on their heads, swimming up from the depths

The LMC is full of fascinating bits and pieces and yes long FL is pretty useful at showcasing them individually, nice work

This is a Hubble pallete, but others could have worked. NB colour is very subjective, not to everyones taste

Gee, Thanks Eric, but a bit more data would reduce the noise.

Thanks Houghy. Well, I was a few subs short of stack whilst PSing this, interpretation was remarkably clear at the time .
