Nice detail Paul. You can get a sense of the 3D in the proms.

Doug I doubt whether it will be visible. It is nearly halfway across the solar disk and this movement has occurred in the last 4 days. There are still 5 days to the eclipse and as such rotation would likely take it out of view.

That said there may well be some cycle 24 spots develop in the next couple of days. You just never know with sol.

Geoff, the active region had several small spots on it yesterday, today it is less evident in white light. Ha really shows an interesting perspective to our star.

Matt, thanks. The mosaic was done in about 2 minutes. I found that in that time a lot of the adjoining detail changed enough to make the mosaic hard.
