building an observatory

Yes, one very serious build job!

I'm interested in the number of photos he took. When I get going on anything, stopping to take photos is an annoying interruption!

The pier is very impressive - funny his extreme overkill in places - like 6x6 bearers - then uses 2x4 for the joists..... Does look good though - I like his roof framing.....

addit - also not a fan of the roof-hold-down chains in terms of wind resistance.....
