Market value

Hello,

I probably should have asked this before posting the ad in the buy/sell forums, but can anyone give me an idea of market value for a second hand telescope?

- SkyWatcher 90mm f10 refractor
- EQ 2 mount & aluminium tripod
- Two months old (I got a goto when I realised I was in over my head with finding things - the scope is pretty much mint)
- 10mm, 25mm and 32mm eyepieces (GSOs other than the 10mm which came with it) and a 2x GSO barlow
- No original packaging - My partner regards empty boxes or any other type of mess as evil incarnate - but I do have the instructions still.
- Originally cost $529, accessories about another $90

Thanks.

What I have found is that very popular items in as-new condition often go for 75-80% of new price.

In my experience unless your scope is exactly what someone was wanting and was going to buy new anyway, you have to make to price tempting to attract interest. Either that or be prepared to wait.
