For sale: Konig eyepiece

Melbourne:

32mm Konig (2 inch) eyepiece.

A quality 60 degree field, extremely bright views.

Eyepiece is absolutely mint condition, selling to buy a shorter fl eyepiece as it gives a too large exit pupil on my f4.7 newt. Would consider a trade for 25mm or shorter eyepiece of similar quality (need long eye relief as am a spec wearer)

$130 including registered postage to anywhere in Australia.

Don'y know who made it, but it comes from Kasai Trading in Japan who supply the same eyepiece to University optics.

Was that the 2" eyepiece that you let me look through at Morangurgh near Geelong several years back? Excellent eyepiece.

Hi Allan,

yes it was .....I sold my panoptic 35mm after getting it. It was not as good as the panoptic at the edge in fast scopes, but at the center it was just so transparent and sharp that it made the panoptic look like it sucked light.

cheers

Hi Gary
Do you have any pics of it?
What was the edge like in your scope?
What % of the field of view is the image sharp before you notice coma/sharpness issue?

Eyepiece is VERY sharp and transparent in center of field. Very slight coma visible at last 10% of field in f 4.7 scope. At the time I got this I had a 35mm Panoptic. I looked through this and sold the Panoptic. Made it look like it sucked light......

cheers
