Last night I captured 30 mins of M42 with my Fujifilm XT100 coupled to a SW Esprit 100 refractor. Almost 4 yrs ago I did the same with a modified Canon 550d. I combined the two nights which were both shot at the same location with the same telescope in Bortle 6 skies, to produce a total of 1 hr integration time.
Pleased that the unmodified Fujifilm mirrorless camera has nearly as much Ha sensitivity as the full spectrum modified Canon DSLR. Both produced a similar result. I was able to use shorter exposures I had taken for the core with the Canon DSLR and add it to achieve better dynamic range for a more balanced result.

The Fujifilm produces a very well balanced image in colour and contrast.
The Esprit 100 frames the running man comfortably in the overall image which makes for a beautiful shot.
Nice job on the trapezium and subtle processing.
Really nice work on this summer favourite.
Cheers
