From a BAS email, the Astrofest Committee, (if you can call it that, as the committee only consists of one person at the moment) is seeking committee members from South East Queensland clubs and volunteers / helpers.

One person cannot run / organise the astrofest.
If you have been enjoying the previous Astrofests, this will be a good year to step up and give something back.

If you can help, please contact either
Tony firstlight@optusnet.com.au
BAS President president@bas.asn.au

When I spoke to Tony a few days ago, he said he will post something shortly.

Perhaps way down south they have had skies to envy. Different story in the north. Last night was this year's first cloudless one to speak, but with only a short time to enjoy before the moon took over. And it's back to clouds this evening according to the forecast .

Ever hopeful of a return to clear skies.
