This photo never ceases to amaze me. 1984 Astronaut Bruce McCandless testing the Lockheed Martin Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU). Not sure how far out from the Shuttle he went possibly too far to recover if anything went wrong.

In the RAAF it was supposedly a tradition for a Pilot that had survived a successful ejection to buy the Gunnies a slab. Following in this tradition McCandless should have bought the boys at Lockheed Martin a Keg.
