Some good Covid news

Hi Guys, here some good news for a change, the world is so full of sadness sometimes.

Alice's Aunt who is heading for 101 years old lives in a nursing home, and is still quite independent with some of the things she dose.

However five days ago she was diagnosed with Covid, and was not very well, we could not see her as the place was in lock down as there where many other residents and staff that had come down with the Virus as well.

She did sound quite sick over the phone and we thought, what a bugger to reach 100 plus and then to be brought down with this dreaded Virus.

Well today we call and she is as bright as a button and feeling great she says, the pills they give me must be working who would have thought at that age. she feels she is over the worst part of it.

So there ya go. and have to add that she has not had a single injection, she refuses that

Leon

That’s really good news for you and your family must be so relieved

Those new anti viral meds really work , my sister and sister in law had COVID recently and they recovered in 2 and a bit days both over 70 and both had the anti viral medication

Thanks for sharing

PS After dodging COVID for 3+ years I was positive on Friday night and just starting to come good now after 5 days (I don’t qualify for the new anti viral treatment as I’m only early 60’s with no health issues ) This thing knocked me for six I can tell ya.

Cheers

that's fantastic, really happy to hear that about Alice's aunt. Just shows how all of our bodies are so different. My mum isn't vaccinated (long story!) got COVID and it was like a mild flu for her that came and went quickly.

p.s. glad you're on the mend as well, Martin.

I've come down with something today, RAT tests are negative and like you I've so far dodged the COVID bullet, but will PCR later if it doesn't get better.
