Tele Vue Nagler 7mm (Type 1) with issue

For sale is a clean Type 1 Nagler 7mm with caps (no box). Unfortunately one of the internal elements has a small chip off centre that happened during disassembly and cleaning.

I tested it in my Ranger to see what effect the chip has. On Jupiter there was perhaps the slightest reflection if the planet was in a specific spot in the field but it was barely noticeable. On the waxing gibbous Moon there was a small diffuse shadow corresponding to where the chip is. If I moved the Moon around the field it sometimes produced a small flare of light in a particular spot but mostly only the small shadow was visible. If observing along the terminator I could rotate the eyepiece so the shadow was in the dark part of the moon and couldn't be seen.

On deep sky I saw no issues.

I've been using the eyepiece as is for several months but have just acquired a Type 6 so I've decided to sell at a reduced price to reflect its condition. If no takers I'll happily keep it.

Asking $135 ono. Will consider trades for other eyepieces especially older Japanese models.

Enquiries by PM please.
