hi all, i made what i call a 'guidezoid'- LOL, its actually a dual mounting dovetail for 2 scopes on my ASGT, i havent tested the go-to function yet (weather)- but is there a specific place i need th set the DEC before alignment? id like to 'mark' this somehow so i dont have to 'trial and error; before each alignment-- BTW, heres an image of the contraption http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y37.../Guidezoid.jpg
Nice setup, I have a similar dual mount setup on a CG5ASGT mount. So long as the Scope/s are pointing to the N/S pole before the alignment process everything is sweet, also having the dual mount plate you can have the DEC motor housing facing the front so it doesn't come into connect with the RA motor housing
