Carina

About 2.5 hours of data before the clouds moved in. Much better than last years effort on this one.

76 two minute exposures.

thanks for looking.

Carina is probably one of the most popular nebulas to image using a wide variety of scopes and cameras. It’s big and bright and has so many great features plus it’s around for at least 6 months under our skies
A tad noisy but nicely framed and captured
Well done !!

Thanks Martin.

Finding targets of a size for my scope/camera combination can be a challenge. Most galaxies are small, relatively speaking, so it's big nebulae and star clusters for me with a few exceptions.

Carina is visible for me pretty much all year round so it's a good fall back.

cheers
