I have for sale my North Group 127mm APO triplet refractor with a Celestron CG5-Computerised Mount.
The Telescope
Time to sell this guy after sitting it in storage for the past few years while child-rearing duties took over.
Some good and bad news with this scope. The bad is that the scope took a bit of fungus damage on the optics while in storage.
The good news is that Roger Davis from Roger’s Optics and Restoration has just given the scope a thorough clean and collimation and it’s looking very good again.
For visual it remains very good, but I have not tested it for astrophotography so can’t guarantee results for that.
I am selling this with the Feather Touch 3035 R&P focuser, a GSO Quartz dielectric diagonal, 50mm focuser and aluminium carry case. Will also throw in a Kendrick*full aperture white light solar filter.
The Mount
The mount is a Celestron CG5-Computerised Mount (sometimes also called the Celestron*CG5-GT*or the Celestron CG5-Advanced).
Mount is in good condition, it can carry a good payload and features 2” tripods legs, several bearings in the mount head and the Celestron software (which admittedly has not been updated in years).
Includes all standard components (i.e.):
- Mount
- Tripod
- Hand controller and its holder
- Counter weight
- Manual
- Autoguide port for long exposure photography.
I will also throw in a 12V 18 Ah battery.
The Price
Willing to let it all go for $2000.
