Why Is It So?

Had a squiz at the new moon and lo and behold, some one musta stuck it on the wrong way around, compared to the image on this page and at a slightly different angle......ergo, the Prof. Julius Sumner Miller question.

lol you're not the first to comment on that.

I'd suggest looking out the window first, and then just use the rest of the data on the moonphase page

I like this page for moon phases - just above the "month" calendar you can click to customise it for Southern or Northern hemisphere aspect, or below the month in detail you can quick jump to a given month, year, etc.
