Do you want to make an aluminium cell solar filter?

Hi

If the answer is yes, and you would like to use an aluminium ring with x3 nylon clamping screws, take a look at Kendrick’s rings only kit.

They are a little bit expensive, especially when you include the postage. For my Vixen 102mm refractor I purchased (locally) a cheap Mylar filter in an aluminum cell and replaced the Mylar with Baader astro-solar film, so that is another option.

Cheers

Dennis

Those ARE nice looking rings I must admit. It would be nice if one of our retailers here in Oz carried them, I think the overall cost of getting one all the way from Canada might be a bit pricey for my liking, but they do look very professional.

I agree Steve, wish they were available locally.
