So, what are they?

....while viewing the comet I took a few other photos of the night sky and when I looked at them on the computer and zoomed in I found a few interesting (at least to me!) objects.

The attached cropped photo was taken towards the west/south west just above the horizon, can you identify the 4 objects? One blue , one green one red and on the right may be a planet, I thought maybe Mercury.

Also what puzzles me is why no other stars in the background?

They look to me like hot or dead pixels Andy, with an unfocused planet or star to the right. You probably can't see other stars 'cos your shot was too far out of focus. What were your capture parameters?
