Doh!

I was up most of last night and this morning with Saturn and Jup.
Groggy with lack of sleep, I was up at 6.30am with the kids.

8.20 am I got a phone call, "Aren't you coming into work this morning?"

I'd completely forgotten to turn up for my second day of work.

It was a please turn up because we can't start making pavers until you do your job first call.
If I was on time, I would have had it relatively easy working in the shade, but by midmorning my work area is in full sun. So in my own best interests, I've set the alarm clock I don't intend to be late tomorrow.

Nice to hear a story we can all relate to jjj, how many times have we all felt the cost of our universal fascination through the next working day.

That is just so funny jjj - a true indication that here, we work to live vs. the American way of living to work.

Cheers

Onya Jeanette

Is that anything like getting up at 4:30 in the morning, taking the dog for it's morning walk and, well you know , hooking the trailer up, packing the gear in the truck and trailer (landscape contractor), kissing the wife and kids good bye, driving for 3/4 of an hour wondering where all the traffic is this morning, getting to the work site and wondering where those bone lazy labourers were who were supposed to be there half an hour before you to prep the job and suddenly realizing it was Sunday morning and not Monday morning

I have once confused a Friday with a Saturday.

The boss rang me at about 10am asking "where are you?", I replied "Im at home" . Boss "oh okay" ....then the penny dropped

Anyway, I came into work on Monday morning to hear the 'Wiggles-Wake up Geoff' playing on my pc and cheers from my co-workers
