Forget it. Totally out of left field SWMBO gave me a pair of Celestron 70x15 binos..........of course it's cloudy with the odd drizzle patch.

Astro Santa sent some clear skies tonight with quite reasonable seeing but he also sent 1,000,000,000,000 mosquitoes so after 20 minutes I’ve got dozens and dozens of bites :/

The rainy days are my fault. I brought the Lunt LS60 with me to the NSW mid north coast for a two day trip. My apologies to any that live around Taree...

Too close to Canberra airport, and ATC wouldn't give him a clearance.

He brought me nothing material either. I am getting to spend time with mum though and that's more important.

Maybe he heard rumours of those three new presents you bought yourself and got scared Rom style...?

Well I did get a couple of hours under a dark sky playing with my new gear and I was rather happy to get to do some photography.

Another (used) Celstron SCT OTA... Santa couldn't pass up the deal, as it was Fastar compatible at a great price. Haven't tested it yet, as snow, wind and clouds (along with -18C) are getting in the way.

One more in the collection... (when will I learn to stop )

Sorta Astro

My son bought us a framed print (computer generated of course) of "The Night sky over Fairfield on the night we said 'I do". (40 years ago).

WOW, I said, but I couldn't confirm its accuracy, as I don't recall looking at the sky that night.

Interesting, and very thoughtful gift, if not a talking point.

There's an opportunity to make money everywhere if you look hard enough I guess.
But I wonder if some copyright was mistreated.
