We are at this time of typing 9 and counting in the eyepiece section ,, all reported within minutes , on to it guys .
Makes me think that all this spam ( there probably be more ) could be stopped if new members are put on a probation period ? , all this new spam today was from new members that joined minutes before posting this rubbish .

As for Brian's question... I wonder if Mike has a way of making it so that no posts can be made for let's say the first 30 minutes after account creation?
Another batch of spam has hit the eyepiece threads today. Why are they targeting the eyepiece section?, I could understand if it was in the General section.
They are are all advertising live streaming of sport.
There must be some way of stopping this via IP filtering or a 2 day delay before a new user can post.

Extra work for moderators, but in a probation period just have all submissions by new members vetted before actually posting, for a period of a week or two?
