Pentax EP projection with Toucam!

Being the gadget tinkerer that I am, I was curious about the size of the eye end of my new Pentax XW7.

It looked remarkably the same size as a Toucam Adaptor.

But it ain't, but then I remebered about my Cardboard tube for EP projection on Plossls.

IT FITS!!!!!!

The Cardboard tube extension (from the centre of Cling-Wrap & painted black) is a perfect fit inside the Pentax! and the Toucam slides snuggly inside the cardboard tube (but I knew that as I already use it that way with Plossls).

All I need now is the time to try it out

Here are the piccies.

1. The bits
2. Assembled

Hi Ken,

Good to see your a XW owner anyways I would be keen to hear how it
works out, that is XW EP projection with a Toucam. FWIW, You can get the
adaptor that goes with the XW series, but you'll have to go through the US
as they are only available/released there. Mind you I tried to order one 2+
years it maybe be different now.

Ken, you're an evil, evil man! Look at that poor beautiful XW being handed over to the dark side.
Pure evil.

Rob, thanks, but why would I want to buy one?

I have the 'Glad Wrap' Brand adaptor already. They work, they can be cut at any required length, if you make it wrong you just chuck it out, and they are free!

In fact I have so many of the Glad Wrap tubes I can make a variety of lengths for each EP I have

It is cut to fit the shape of the camera, which is a Canon Powershot A85.
So it will sit square to the eyepiece.
