Three Colours...

I was recently encouraging a young lady to search out and see the Three Colours trilogy of movies from the early 90s. See here if you are not familiar:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Colours_trilogy

Now she is also interested in the night sky, having come out star gazing with me. So I showed her (published images) of my "Three Colours Astronomical".

This thought was brought on by another thread where we have discussed the Red Rectangle and the Red Square.

The Red Square was my choice for "Three Colours - Red" (attached). What would yours be?

And do you want to guess my choices for "Three Colours - Blue" and "Three Colours - White"? I'll show later but they are fairly easy to guess. What would your choices be?

Eye of God / Helix Nebula

My choice for an all-in-one RWB "trilogy" would be the Eye of God / Helix Nebula

Very Blue Very White

Now, where would you do for a good green (real green- not assigned, not that there's anything wrong with that)? My original thought was the assigned green form the Hubble Eagle Nebula, but not real (for humans anyway)

M42 looks green to the visual observer (it even appears green in my 102mm Tak)...

Otherwise there is always damned airglow

4 Colours...not sure the french flag has green in it

Hi Lewis, Yes I agree. I thought of the blue/green in The Trapezium, but was interested in a more pure green. The sort seen in some of the assigned colour images like the Hubble Eagle Nebula.

Of course you're right. I was diverting, going for the green in "il Tricolore" (The G-W-R Tricolour)
