Cathedral Range State park

Hello,

Here a a couple of pics from camping on the weekend, long exposure single shots. Lots of fallen trees and blocked roads on the drive home! My intervalometer had a flat battery so I had to resort to using my smart phone Canon app and holding my finger on the Bulb button!

Canon 6D.
1) 7 min, ISO 200, Samyang f2.8 14mm @ f4.
2) 15 min, ISO 200, Samyang f2.8 14mm @ f4.

Cheers Tim.

Nice! I've often wondered what the camping is like up that way. I was in Eildon Nat Park recently and thought the cathedrals looked pretty spectacular on the way past.

The camping and scenery are good, its nice and sheltered, with a few walks up to the ridge lines with spectacular views, and some places for rock climbing. A great little river running up the middle and pine plantations on the other side of the main road. We saw a Lyre bird, a Bower bird, Kangaroos, Wombats.

Regards Tim.

Very nice. Is that Venus blasting so bright through the Milky Way?

Thanks.
Venus had just set before this pic, that is a thin crescent moon. I was a bit surprised that it did not blow out the image much more.
Cheers.
