Hi All,
Things have been a bit hairy up here with the Port Stephens Fire. We have watched it go by about 2km south of us in the National Park. A wind change this afternoon has sent a lot of smoke and embers our way but hopefully it has cooled enough. We have all our tanks and dam ready to go if needed.
Any way, yesterday afternoon I ran outside to see what I thought was a Jet Star passenger jet about to crash into the bush east of our farm. Happily it was the RFS tanker doing a low run with fire retardant.
I managed to snap a pic of it as it headed for home and it obliged me by getting close to the moon so I could post it here! Long stretch I know but there you go.
Richard the smokey.
