NGC6595 from Astrofest

Very colourful field between M8/20 and M16/17. I call it the Jimmy Neutron Nebula. Reminds me of these egg like creatures (and they're green too).

I have a few Ha Panels here shot with a 150mm Pentax Lens a while ago showing the area in context. It looks a lot better in colour.

This one was 16x5min shot around 8:00pm Friday night.
Couple of higher resolution below:

[70% full frame - 4256x2822 - 15.5MB]
[50% full frame - 3040x2016 - 8.9MB] Native format after drizzle 50% reduction.
[HD Crop - 1920x1273 - 4MB] HD version

Again they're slightly bigger than the native res of my sensor as I used drizzle integration in PixInsight.
Enjoy the views.

Nice close up. I like to see these more obscure objects coming up.

Good looking views of one of one of my favorite objects. Never successfully imaged it myself.

Cheers

Looks great, Marc, especially wandering around the high res version. There's a bit of everything in that field and the colours are gorgeous.

You have been incredibly productive, Marc. Another lovely image, and of an object I've not seen before - had to look it up. A big blue bouncy monster with two bright eyes on stalks, reminding me of something gentle from Sesame Street.

The star colours are great. There's an impressively bright yellow star toward ten o'clock which adds interest. Nice composition.

Thanks Janette. Troy actually reminded me of this one as he was shooting it as well.

Thanks Geoff. That was some Ha I did with a Pentax SMC 150mm prime lens. 6 panels I believe, with a Baader 7nm Ha filter and the QHY9 from home.

Thanks Steve. I don't think I've ever tried this one in colour before. It's in a couple of wide fields I did in the past.

Thanks Louie. No green in that one. I was referring to the Goobots.

Thanks a lot Greg. Yes there is quite a lot of variations in colors in the field. Always liked the bunch of very bright blue stars on the left side of the roof.

Thanks Rick. Quite a lot happening in one field. I use Goodlook 64 for the black point and color balance exclusively. It gives me consistent results. I'm always very bad with color balance for some reason.

Thanks Mike. I have been shooting non stop for 5 nights so heaps of data to play with. Long trip up there. Gotta make it worthwhile.
