Smokin' fast Photoshop upgrade

Finally made the leap from PS 5.1 to PS CC 2014 on my aging Mac Pro 3.1 2008.
Also boosted the Ram up from 8 to 20GB.
Now running very smooth, mega fast & still happy on OS 10.8.5

Resisted the urge to go to Adobe subscription model for a long time but even PS 6 is 5 years old now, and Camera raw 6.7 wouldn't open files from my new Nikon D750 so I bit the bullet and just did it!

All filters, plug-ins, presets & Bridge working happily too😊

The main gains in Photoshop cc 2015.5 are the shake reduction tool which can sharpen an image sometimes quite well. The ability to align layers now. The improved panorama stitching process which will also auto crop.

Otherwise I find the interface worse than my old CS2 version and overall it runs slower as the program gets larger. My Noise Ninja plugin only works sometimes and most often not. So its not all good but overall I think its worth it (only just).

Greg.
