Carrying case

Hi guys,
I'm wanting to make a large case that I can carry my OTA, mount and assesories case. I have a new galvanised toolbox that is the perfect size if I make some mounts inside to keep everything secure. I just have one question is there any downfall using a steel box or can it harm anything (goto mount etc). It's just I noticed most guys use plastic or wood.

Partition it and pad it well, it should be fine. Most tend to use plastic and aluminium for weight saving, though with some brands the plastic cases are rather heavy.

I prefer to keep the OTA in a separate case to everything else.

Update

Well its all finished. $25 ply. $ 20 carpet. $10 screws and staples and a toolbox I had laying around. Turned out great it fits the OTA, Mount Head, Tripod and has room for my eyepiece case. With the lid carpeted it doubles as a seat.
