NGC3372 - Carina nebula

This is my first attempt at NGC3372 with an unmodded Canon 700D at f10 through a C11 EdgeHD on a CGEM unguided.

35 subs at 140 secs
10 darks

Processed in Pixinsight. I am still learning how to use this effectively and
need to work on reducing the blue and enhancing the pink aspects of the nebula in this image.

You've chosen a hard way to go in astrophotography. Tracking/ guiding has to be spot
on with a long focal scope. You need to get your tracking [polar alignment, whatever] right before
worrying about processing adjustments.

Looking OK Brian, you will have to get a guide camera and an OAG or a guide scope to get round stars.
You are also a bit over-sampled at 2800mm focal length, but there is not much you can do about that. For your focal length you need to get a camera with 9 micron pixels and that will make the stars a lot smaller.

With nearly all the new cameras coming out with smaller pixels, oversampling is going to cause issues for all of us.

The main thing however is have fun while you tour the universe.

Thanks Bill. I have the guide cam, and ordering the OAG later in the week.
